North Side of Conimicut Point Beach by Keith R Wahl, Made From RI Gallery

Beaches and areas like Conimicut Point cannot be experienced by standing in one place. When turning a corner or rounding an area, an experience can change. The juxtaposition of conditions is amazing. If one looks at the photos in our blog "Light and Current" (taken at the same time as this photo - within minutes of each other), the color and view are completely different. This is due to not just facing away from the sun and the diffusion of light in the clouds, but also due to being in the lee of the wind and tide.

The point provides a lee from wind and current providing a calm. The result is a reflection of light over clear water. In Warwick, Rhode Island.

More of these experiences from our Conimuct Point venture are found in our posts, "Morning Walk at Conimicut", "Narragansett Bay School In Session" and "Sun Between Prudence And Poppasquash".
