Narragansett Avant la Tempête by Keith R Wahl, Made From RI GalleryArriving at Hazard Avenue in Narragansett, there was one car present. I prepared my gear and stepped down along the rocks. Greeting me with a pleasant, "Hi there!", the other gentleman looked and smiled. His eyes changed and smile lines appeared. He is a geologist I learned, he expressed excitement with a find. He had found veins of garnet as he pointed with glee. We exchanged some information. He informed me of the colors in the rock. I imparted local knowledge and line of sight navigation to enhance his GPS notes. Then I started photographing the unique conditions before an incoming storm. The light reflected the unique color in the rocks that my new acquaintance described. The hue of the waves coming from the skies. The crepuscular rays showed down through the clouds. A pleasant dramatic photographic view. As a December, storm comes up the coast, the clouded light plays offshore and on the rocks locally. © Keith R Wahl, Made From RI/Made From RI Gallery, 2020.
