ClassicEndOfDay_20200725_850_2832Classic End Of DayClassic sportfishermen. There was a time when boats like these had a bigger purpose in summer: sword and tuna. We would see some boats like these rigged with swordfish pulpits. The tournaments would begin chasing after sword and bluefin. Late in the afternoon, they would race in, wakes criss-crossing at the breakwater. Spectators soaked down from the splash as others raced to see the catch weighed. Late in the day, bathed in late day light after cleaning up, the boats would rest like these. Fishermen traded stories and legends were born. These classic boats are the source of the great tales of Snug Harbor.
