Sailing Vessel In Stained Glass by Keith R Wahl, Made From RI GallerySailing Vessel In Stained Glass A depiction of a sailing vessel as befits the Ocean State in stained glass at the Roger Williams Museum of Natural History and Planetarium in Providence, Rhode Island. I have to be completely honest with this one. I originally thought that this was a depiction of the USS Providence, the first ship of the US Navy as commanded by John Paul Jones. It would be logical as this is the namesake city. But upon examining the vessel rig, I cannot say this is true as this is a schooner rig. So, I am able to say that this is a vessel of the Ocean State.
