Narragansett Bay is a classic. I am not speaking about Newport or Bristol, which have my affection as well, but of the entirety of the bay. There are innumerable scenes in Narragansett Bay that are magazine-worthy. They are art waiting to happen. And these moments are everywhere.

It would take a lifetime to completely explore Narragansett Bay. I know. I have. From fishing blues off of Warwick Neck to inching excursion boats up the Seekonk River. Lobstering off of Hope Island to quahogging between Prudence and Patience Islands. Early mornings steaming on a tug to meet a ship off Newport. Late nights on excursion boats viewing all the lighted bridges. Small adventures on a Beetle Cat exploring East Greenwich and Wickford. Appearances in Riverside's Bullock's Cove to survey a family fishing boat. Freezing on a cold ferry trip out of Bristol. Navigating the winding channel of the Warren River. Avoiding the sand bar at the mouth of Warwick Cove.

Every little adventure on Narragansett Bay has yielded a moment or two with scenic views. Calming moments. Moments that grabbed one and said, "I am so glad that I was alive and here to see this".

And I have been fortunate to travel the world. Have I experienced moments like these in coastal areas of the United States? Yes, of course. Have I had these experiences in England, Ireland, France, the South Seas, and other places? Of course. But never have I found so many as right here in my native Rhode Island on Narragansett Bay.
