If New England's foliage is the color and fire of Autumn, then the beach dunes are the glow. Walking among the dunes in the afternoon sun brings a happy, calm, warm smolder that warms the heart if not the air.

There is electrification and ionization in the air from the salt mists as the ocean waves pound. The smell mixes with the beach roses and their fruit creating a balance of sweet and bitter.

The protected dunes as seen here at Moonstone Beach add balance to the season. They complete and enhance the palette of seasonal color. And they stimulate the senses of sight, sound, and smell; all of which glow in the season.
