Living on the water, one accepts that not every day is sunny. It does not mean that the day is any less beautiful. Clouds move in and move through, and sometimes it makes the scene that we view all the more interesting.

That water flattens without wind and the lack of light glare gives us the opportunity to see new details. Boats tend to stay at their moorings, but this gives us greater scenery.

Through all the clouds, a bridge. The longest suspension bridge in the New England Region. The Newport Pell Bridge. The island connection that replaced the ferries that sailed from the viewing location.
