What draws us to a place? What causes us to return to that place? Well, it has to do with that place meaning something to us. Often, that place offers us something different every time we are there.

Point Judith is one of those places. It is a place that stabs into the heart of Rhode Island Sound. It gives us the impression of being on a ship without the rolling decks. It gives us the view of Block Island and Vineyard Sounds in either the west or the east.

Most of all, every time I stop at Point Judith, it is different. Some days it is stormy. Some days there is blazing sun and rolling swells. Other days, it is placid, calm, and serene with a dusting of snow and gentle sunrises.

What draws us to place? We go to places that add mystery, wonder, and romance to our lives. Point Judith is certainly one of those places.
