As night falls and temperatures change, the fog begins to form along the roadway. And the all too familiar sights become less so. Little umbrellas tent the street lights. The cars exiting on the offramp have a different cast to their headlights. A sheen forms on the road. And the lights of other cars speed by in streaks.

The scene spurs vintage, nostalgic, memories. Views of photographs in newspapers when these roads were new. And the fog makes them take on the hue of those memories of fresh things that were not yet familiar.
