Descending Fall Foliage. Photography and Text by Keith R WahlPleasant memories to the last Select Image or Title to See in a Larger Format
Fall foliage season does not come to a close all at once. It is a gentle descent with the leaves that fall one by one. They flutter to the ground as we watch in amazement. And even as the leaves come to earth, they stimulate our senses with subtle, muted shades and coloring. It is as if these leaves that shaded us in summer are reluctant to leave us. Their concern is not for themselves but for the those who rested and played under their shade in the summer. And now, they care for those who run through their raked-up piles with glee. Their desire is to depart without sorrow or tears but with pleasant memories to the last.
