Our sons, both talented violists, had an invitation to provide the music for a night benefit. The event was at the Aldrich Mansion in the Warwick Neck area of Warwick, Rhode Island. They did a wonderful job.

Being at the Aldrich Mansion was also a moment for me to share with them. I grew up on Warwick Neck and went to elementary school about a half a mile from the mansion. This is a part of my past that I was able to share.

When I was a child, the Aldrich Mansion was a bit of a spooky place. That is, it was for a youngster. Except when it snowed. The snow meant that all we urchins gathered our sleds and careened down the mansion hills.

But for this night, it was two young men playing the music of the night.
