The Mood of Autumn. Photography and Text by Keith R WahlPreserving Autumn Select Image or Title to See in a Larger Format "I cannot endure to waste anything so precious as autumnal sunshine by staying in the house." ~Nathaniel Hawthorne As late Autumn afternoons descend with its leaves, they develop their own mood. The light spreads across the last of the russet and red of oak and maple. The mood of this time is not one that one describes in words. It is a mood of light, shadow, and the moment. It is fleeting and pleasant, and hard to preserve. But we must try to preserve it, nonetheless.
