There is one thing about the beach in the off-season that is awesome. Dogs. Dogs have access to the beach. What is more is that dogs get to be true dogs on the beach. They run, they play, they dig, and they explore. And in the end, if one pays close attention, they smile.

On this spring day at Matunuck Beach, the waves roll in. The dog in the picture manages to get the attention of their human. In response, the human takes a ball, winds up, and pitches it for the dog to retrieve. And who benefits more? The dog or the human? Both is the answer, but the dog is doing a great job of looking after their human.
