Le Matin de Printemps Dansant sur les Vagues 20220322 850_6292Le Matin de Printemps Dansant sur les VaguesIn early spring, it is time to dance on the waves by the Narragansett Towers on a bright, sunny morning. "Dancing on the Waves" is a work created by artist Anne Mimi Sammis.

It's a spring morning. The sun sparkles across the water leading up to the Narragansett shore. It is time to dance on the waves again.

Oh, for certain we have been to the beach in the intervening fall and winter seasons. Yet, there is something different about spring. The water has started to achieve a certain sparkle in the spring sun. There is a promise of life on the beach roses.

Springtime is the time to be more like the surfers who have braved the cold to catch the waves. It is a time to push the cold aside and relish the sunlight. It is a time to breathe in the fresh, salty air. It is a time to dance on the waves in the shadow of the Narragansett Towers. It's a time to be happy and appreciative of the shore. It's a time to let our souls sing freely. It's a time to celebrate life.

Dedicated to the artist Adolph Wahl who passed away on April 1, 1987 (this piece was written by his grandson on April 1, 2022). He embraced the symbolism of resurrection of life in springtime.
