Evening Reflections at the Boat Ramp. Photography and Text by Keith R WahlEvening Reflections at the Boat Ramp Select Image or Title to See in a Larger Format - See More Below
Much of my life has been on the water. Some of the first photographs of me are of my mother holding me in Galilee while my father was surveying a fishing boat. I spent my young life on ferries and ships and small boats. In all eventuality, I went to sea as well. But my greatest adventures came about in and from small boats. My first bits of independence were in a small skiff like the one photographed. I bought it with the money that I earned. I rowed it until I scraped together enough to buy a British Seagull outboard (bare bones and basic). Those small boats were either an adventure or carried me on an escapade on another vessel. In the turn of time as I reflect, it was the small boats that led me to see the world. So, while some look to have something of a superyacht. Or a fast powerboat. Or an elegant sailing yacht. Or even seek to be a captain of a ferry or even larger ship. While I have experienced most of these, my heart remains with the adventures of a little boat by the ramp in the marina.
