Hannah Robinson Tower has two meanings. The first meaning is literal, memorializing Hannah Robinson. The second is colloquial, the line of demarcation marking where people are from. Some people are from south of "the tower" and some are not.

In brief, the Hannah Robinson Tower is a 1938 Civilian Conservation Corps project. It memorializes Hannah Robinson (1746-1773). Hannah became estranged from her family and fell into poverty and illness. Upon returning home, Hannah requested to visit McSparren Hill a favored view of her home. The colloquial demarcation point is sometimes a matter of pride or derision. Sometimes, the points arise in the same conversation. There are those who do not desire to go "North of the Tower". These are the stalwarts who have been born and raised south of this tower. Others are those who have migrated south of this point and found it comforting. Those from the north may or may not understand and question this point of view.

As for me, I pass "The Tower" daily. I pass by it heading north. I sometimes pass by on the adjacent road to the south. I will not say where I stand in this controversy. But to make everyone comfortable, I captured the photos from the south.
