Aglow in Snug Harbor. Photography and Text by Keith R WahlSelect Image or Title to See in a Larger Format After a hectic day, one of the most relaxing, therapeutic, things one can do is take a harbor walk. We have many such spots in Rhode Island, but among my favorites is Snug Harbor. There is something about Snug Harbor that harkens back to an earlier, easier, time. There is a definite mid-twentieth century vibe, the days of ample fishing contests. Because of the currents of the area, most of the boats are power. This makes it the perfect spot for private and charter sport fishing boats. In the early evening, most of the boats came in and their catch settled. The hosed down and cleaned boats sit aglow in silence staring at the late day sun. The water is clean and blue. The marsh is bright and verdant. And with this view, all tension washes away.
