Anchored on the Waterfront 20220618 850_9437Anchored on the WaterfrontThe anchor on a head boat in the Port of Galilee in Narragansett, Rhode Island on a cloudy afternoon.

Anchors are among the most important appurtenances of a boat or ship. In calm, an anchor allows for rest. In storms, an anchor provides security in a refuge. In the case of a head boat, an anchor is a tool to harvest the fruit of the ocean with rod and reel.

On this late afternoon, the weather is overcast, and the boats have come in for the day. And thrusting forward to emphasize its importance is the anchor.
