Daisies are attractive in their simplicity. These humble flowers offer us view of unadorned beauty. In sunshine and shadow, cloudless sky or in rain, their simple and pure beauty shines. If the daisy is yellow, the mood brightens in its sunny nature.

Now combine the uncomplicated spectacle of a daisy with a bee, and somehow a smile comes to our faces. Why is this?

For an answer to why the bee in the scene makes us smile, we turn to 18th century Romantic poet William Blake. Blake posited that "The busy bee has no time for sorrow."

Putting this together, a bee presents us the opposite of sorrow. The simple yellow daisy presents a face of sunshine. Who could not smile?
