Always the Same, Always Changing. Photography and Text by Keith R WahlOld friend, new adventure Late Summer Light on Rose Hips Select Image or Title to See in a Larger Format - See More Below Rhode Island Sound Through Late Summer Dunes Late Summer at Scarborough South There are reasons to visit the shore often. There is always something familiar there. The landmarks do not change. Yet, there is always some subtlety that changes that creates a new adventure in every visit. Here, it is the latter part of summer. The beach roses have shed most of their petals and grown their hips (their fruit). The light streams from a lower angle and changes with every turn of the head. Still, the lighthouse in the near distance is steadfast and does its job. This is a place that says, "Come here old friend. The path is set, but new experiences await you." And as you leave, like an old friend it says, "I look forward to seeing you again. I will have some new surprises for you then." Looking back, we look at our old friend for what they are today, knowing that tomorrow will be something new.
