About the Chapel in the Pines. Photography and Text by Keith R WahlCan we help? Can Do!
This is being written for a special reason. We receive at least two or three calls a week based upon this photo. These calls have to do with wanting to schedule a wedding at the venue. The callers have found this photo at our sites and call us at Made From RI Gallery for more information. This tells us a couple of things. First, we should take more photos of the location as people have an interest. Second, more people need to have the contact information, which we will post here, below. We have written about this structure before here: Made From RI Gallery | Chapel In the Pines by Keith R Wahl. Built by Seabees in the early 1960s of a slab concrete roof. The building is at the Seabee Museum and Memorial Park in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. The Chapel in The Pines is one of the most unusual buildings in the world (located in our home state of Rhode Island). It is a unique piece of Rhode Island history and architecture worthy of note. We have also learned that the venue could use some help as of this writing (September 2022). There is a "GoFundMe" located here: Fundraiser by Joe Frigon : Davisville Chapel in the Pines (gofundme.com). Can we help them? Well, in the words of the Seabees, "Can Do!" Face To Face With The Fighting Seabee by Keith R Wahl, Made From RI Gallery. Contact the Seabee Museum and Memorial Park here for more information: Museum and Park Dedicated to the US Seabees (seabeesmuseum.com)
