The morning sun is shy as it makes its slow appearance over the trees at the edge of the cove. The light peeks around the corner as if it is afraid to come out. But it is the sun, and it must rise, and it must shine. Overcoming shyness, the sun shows itself over the trees. It illuminates the clouds above and the boats below. The water reflects the sky above and glistens with the sun's illumination. This is the start of the day. It something that is always special on the water. It changes moment by moment. And anyone who takes the time to watch it seems to come away with a sense of gratitude. And as the day moves forward, wonder takes hold with each passing hour.
