The end of Summer and the beginning of Fall are never like they portray it in the media. One is slow to release its grasp and the other takes gentle hold. In this passage, there's a subtle hint of change that we should observe and savor in our encounters.

The light itself becomes golden in the early evening. This aureate hue will permeate the views around us. The result is a classic, dream-like quality.

This ageless quality comes but once a year and lasts for a short time. It gives rise to nostalgia for the Summer that is passing and hope for the new colors of Fall. And the water, the grasses, and even the boats will show this simple, relaxing aura. And if we choose to take it in, we find a sense of tranquility.
