Shell of Ink-Wash MemoriesThis clam shell sitting on the beach, filled with water and a few bubbles from the surf, has subtle hues. The blue is like the wash produced by the India ink used by my grandfather. When he cleaned and dried his pens, there was a stain left on the towel with hints of blue and purple. I see this again in this shell, the same pattern and the same ink signature.
