Leafy PathWalking along the leafy path as the colors change at Warwick City Park, Warwick, Rhode Island

In Warwick's leafy lanes, I tread alone,
Amidst the hues of autumn's vibrant show.
The russet leaves like flames upon the stone,
Where once the summer flowers did blow.

The trees stand tall, their branches intertwined,
A canopy of gold and crimson bright.
The air is crisp, the breeze is soft and kind,
As nature paints a scene of pure delight.

I wander on, my footsteps muffled deep
In fallen leaves that rustle 'neath my feet.
The sunbeams dance between the boughs, and leap
Across the path, where shadows dance and fleet.

The birds have flown, their summer songs now stilled,
But silence reigns, a peace both deep and wide.
My heart is full, my spirit feels fulfilled,
As autumn's beauty fills me with its pride.
