Mystic River's yawl,
Anchored in fall's embrace,
Honeyed hues across the shore.

A Fall Yawl

Upon the Mystic's tranquil tide,
A yawl at anchor gently rides,
Her hull, a weathered work of art,
Reflects the river's tranquil heart.

Across the stream, a tapestry of hues,
Where autumn's brush has softly strewed,
A palette rich in shades of gold,
Where crimson leaves their stories unfold.

The yawl, a silent sentinel,
Observes the changing season's spell,
As wind-blown leaves in dance descend,
Embracing earth, their journey's end.

The river's surface, smooth and clear,
Reflects the sky, so vast and near,
Where clouds like cotton drift along,
Casting shadows, soft and strong.

In this serene autumnal scene,
Time slows, as if a dream,
The yawl, a symbol of repose,
Where nature's beauty gently flows.
