Mystic River's fall,
Wren's steeple tall,
Boats await their call,
Sloop 'midst leaves so sprawl,
Respect in silence, all.

Mystic River's Tranquil Light

Where autumn's brush paints hues so bright,
By Mystic River's tranquil light,
A scene unfolds, serene and fair,
Where nature's art takes center stage,
And beauty reigns in every sphere.

Across the river, grand and tall,
A steeple stands, a Wren-like call,
Its white spire piercing azure sky,
A signal in this tranquil scene,
Where time seems slow to drift on by.

Boats rest at anchor, waiting long,
For winter's sleep, their final song,
Their sails now furled, their hulls at peace,
Beneath the boughs of autumn's trees,
Where golden leaves begin to cease.

A sloop, serene, with gentle sway,
Against the backdrop, rich and gay,
Of cinnamon leaves, a vibrant hue,
A masterpiece that nature paints,
Where autumn's beauty fills the view.

In yonder cemetery, old and quaint,
Where tombstones rise, a silent saint,
Respects are paid in shades of brown,
As fallen leaves gently descend,
A carpet soft on hallowed ground.

Thus, Mystic River's tranquil scene,
Where autumn's art unfolds serene,
A symphony of colors bright,
Where nature's artistry takes flight,
In Mystic's gentle, fading light.
