Pointing SomewhereThe falling and decrepit spiles of a one-time pier left to decay off the beach at Jerusalem in Narragansett, Rhode Island. These are seen late on a sunny day, offering their texture to reflect on rippling, translucent water.

The spiles in the water point sideways,

translucent water reflecting in the afternoon.

The sun shines through, creating a beautiful scene.

The water is still, and the spiles are silent,

a perfect moment to reflect on life.
