I am fortunate to have had a varied education and career. I have touched upon celestial navigation, astronomy, physics, philosophy, and computer & data engineering. These all deal with science, culture, and time.

In this case, no matter what the faith belief, I am looking at the progress of the moon and an upcoming cultural event. That is Easter. The moon and its phases are what our culture (scientific, ecclesiastical, and historical) uses to mark the event known as Easter.

So when does Easter appear on our western calendar? It appears after the first Sunday of the first full moon of the vernal equinox. And here, we have begun that march to the particular event with the waxing crescent moon of March 26, 2023.
