There's something remarkable about watching the waves wash up to the shore. I love going to the beach in spring, when it's not too crowded and you can feel and see the power of nature. The clouds roll in, bringing a northwest breeze, and Rhode Island Sound becomes restless. It's exhilarating and awe-inspiring, and I can't take my eyes off it. I don't mind getting wet or cold, as long as I can witness this place. The beach is a favored place to be, especially when a spring storm moves in.
