The stern quarter view of a passing vessel tells several stories. The first story is where the vessel is going. In this instance, I would say that fishing the backside of Nantucket is the order of things. This story is in the course heading.

The other story is about the vessel itself. How does it handle a wave or swell coming from astern? Do we see the vessel try to root and cavitation waves coming from the propeller? No, in this case we do not. This is a very sea kindly Rhode Island built vessel.
