It was a breezy day and I felt the wind in my hair as I walked along the shore. A Herring Gull was flying over Rhode Island Sound. Its white and gray feathers contrasting with the blue sky. The sun was low in the horizon, casting a golden glow on our friend the gull. The clouds were thin and wispy ahead of a weather front. The gull was in a flying with purpose and determination, away from the incoming storm.
