A Perfect Afternoon for a Bee. Photography & Text by Keith R WahlL’abeille occupée n’a pas de temps pour le chagrin Busy Bee on Japanese Andromeda Bee Clinging to Lily-of-the-Valley The bee emitted a merry 'buzz' as it landed on a cluster of white bell-shaped flowers. It was a warm and sunny day, and the Japanese Andromeda bush was full of nectar and pollen. The bee rubbed its fuzzy body against the stamens, collecting the yellow dust on its legs and abdomen. It moved from flower cluster to flower cluster, enjoying the sweet aroma and the gentle breeze. The bee felt a sense of satisfaction as it filled its honey stomach with the cherished liquid. It was doing its part to help the colony and the ecosystem. A perfect afternoon for a bee.
