It wouldn't be the beach without them...

The sun is high and the color of the waves change from the dark blue of winter to the greens of spring.

Breaking waves at the beach are the result of the interaction between water and wind. When the wind blows over the surface of the water, it transfers some of its energy to the water, creating ripples that grow into waves. As the waves travel across the ocean, they are influenced by factors such as the depth of the water, the shape of the coastline, and the presence of obstacles. When the waves reach shallow water near the shore, they slow down and increase in height. The top of the wave moves faster than the bottom, causing it to curl over and break. The breaking waves create a dynamic and diverse environment for marine life and human activities. We'll enjoy them all.
