On a quest to catch the fish
That swim around in Rhode Island Sound
A fishing vessel sails along
Where purple and pink skies abound

With nets and hooks and traps and lines
It works with skill and diligence
It lights its way with glowing signs
And makes a line across the distance

A contrast and a grace it shows
A fishing vessel in repose
As in the west the sun descends
And paints the sky with rosy glows
And on its face a rich light lends
