A Summer Evening In the Port of Galilee. Photography & Text by Keith R WahlPoetry... Photopoetry... inspiration Summer Evening at the Port of Galilee The Port of Galilee: A Timeless Place There are some places that transcend a single experience of a single season. The Port of Galilee in Narragansett, Rhode Island is one of those places. It is more than a single photo. It is an experience walking amongst the boats and fishing gear on a summer evening, feeling the salt air in your hair and the sun on your skin. It is the sound of the waves crashing against the shore and the smell of the fish being unloaded from the boats. It is the sense of history and tradition that permeates the air. The Port of Galilee has been a working fishing port for over 300 years. It is home to the largest fishing fleet in Rhode Island, and its fishermen play an important role in the state's economy. But the Port of Galilee is more than just a place to fish. It is also a popular tourist destination, with its beautiful beaches, quaint shops, and delicious seafood restaurants. No matter what time of year you visit, the Port of Galilee is a place to relax and enjoy the simple things in life. There is something for everyone here, from fishing enthusiasts to history buffs to families looking for a fun day out. In the summer, the Port of Galilee is a hive of activity. The fishing boats are busy coming and going, and the beaches are crowded with people swimming, sunbathing, and playing in the sand. The air is filled with the sound of laughter and the smell of sunscreen. In the fall, the Port of Galilee is a more peaceful place. The fishing boats are still out on the water, but the beaches are less crowded. The leaves start to change color, and the air is crisp and cool. In the winter, the Port of Galilee is a winter wonderland. The fishing boats are docked, and the beaches are deserted. The snow falls softly on the boats and the docks, creating a magical scene. No matter what time of year you visit, the Port of Galilee is a place to experience the beauty of nature and the simple joys of life. It is a place to relax and recharge, and to create memories that will last a lifetime. In the future, I will also display this as a series of poems. I think that the Port of Galilee would be a great subject for a series of poems. The poems (Photopoetry in my case) could capture the beauty of the place, the history and tradition, and the sense of peace and tranquility that it offers. I am excited to start working on this project, and I hope that you will enjoy the poems when they are finished.
