Betwixt Full and New

In the hush of early morn, a scene unfolds,
The waning gibbous moon, a tale untold.
Labor Day dawns, September's gentle sigh,
A bridge between seasons, bidding summer goodbye.

A sliver of silver, suspended in time,
Symbolic of change, a rhythm sublime.
Its phase betwixt full and new, a dance to behold,
A glimpse of transition, as stories unfold.

The moon, a sentinel, in the vast expanse,
Reflecting the ebb and flow of life's every chance.
As summer's end lingers, and fall tiptoes near,
The moon stands witness, whispers secrets clear.

In this space between, a gentle pause,
Nature's canvas unfurls, without a cause.
Leaves tinged with amber, a hint of the change,
The moon's waning glow, a promise arranged.

There's a shift in the air, a scent of new birth,
As the moon softly fades from its place of mirth.
Labor Day morning, a time to reflect,
On the beauty of endings, the cycles select.

To the waning gibbous moon, with your mystic allure,
You remind us of moments, both fleeting and pure.
The space between summer's end and fall's embrace,
A tapestry woven with poise and with grace.

We all embrace this celestial display,
As the waning gibbous moon casts its gentle ray.
For in this short moment, we are free to roam,
Between summer's end and fall's beginning, we find our home.
